THANK

YOU!

I would first off like to give a huge thank you to the Vanier Foundation for helping me and the rest of us go on this trip. It truly was such an amazing experience and I cannot express my gratitude enough for your aid through out the process of us planning and traveling for this exchange program.

WEEK 1

Project 1 - HORIZON

Week 1 was the international week. This means that our project was a collaboration of French, Canadian, and Irish students. The French students first pitched to all of us their ideas and strategies for this collaborative project. Then we decided which team/idea we liked best, and joined them. The intention of this project was to come up with an event that would advertise landmarks in and around Lens, as well as promote tourism

Trip to Vimy and Arras

On Wednesday March 11th, all students who were participating in this exchange program made a trip down to Vimy Ridge. This visit was very special as Vimy is a very important place for Canada since it was where many Canadians soldiers fought and sacafised their life during World War I.

After Vimy, we made our way to Arras! Our first stop was at a bowling alley where we got into our project grups and played bolwing! Then, the rest of the evening was free for all! My canadian friends and I went off with some of our new French friends and did some site seeing around Arras. We also got dinner all together which was so nice. I made some really great memories this evening.

WEEK 2

Project 2 - TRAP!

Week 2 was the beginning of a brand new project. We collaborated with just the multimedia students during this week and made a Web TV that ended up being live-streamed on Twitch. This week was pretty intense like the previous week, but it was so much fun! I learned so much throughout this week about organization, team work, communication and project planning. We made new friends this week with our new teams and ended up hanging out with them as well as our friends we made from the previous week a lot during the week.
